Cass & family So sorry to hear of Donnie's passing. It was a pleasure to have known him. I will miss his smile, our talks and watching him and Sam take walks. He was a generous soul- always giving me some clams that had caught and vegetables that he had grown. I am going to miss our "fights" about who was going to mow the grass at Tuckahoe. He will be dearly missed. Love you all.

Rest in peace Donny, we had quite a few laughs working together at Glidden Paints. I'll never forget those times up in Resin. Thanks for the memories my friend.

Oh how Donnie could talk, he was never at a loss for words on any subject. Whenever I returned to PA for a visit, I always planned a stop in Gibraltar to share a few cold ones and catch up with my Glidden colleague and friend. And if I was lucky enough to visit during the harvest, Donnie always offered up a taste of something special from his garden. Every visit to the Bitler household was unique, enjoyable and memorable.
Unfortunately I will not be able to make the trip from SoCal for Donnie's memorial. My condolences to the Bitler family and friends. While my thoughts and prayers are with you, please know that lasting memories of time spent with Donnie will continue to make me smile
