Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William B. and Alberta C. Sparr. He graduated from Governor Mifflin in 1965 and DeVry Technical Institute in 1966. Donald was employed by Western Electric /AT&T for 30 years. He was also a member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by 3 sons: James Dietrich, husband of Inna, Donald Sparr Jr., and
Michael Sparr, husband of Rebecca Janes. Also 6 grandchildren: Finnegan, Archer, Gabriel, Lexi, Sophia and Julia. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Robert Sparr, husband of Connie, and William H. Sparr, husband of Dolores.
Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, 19607 on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the
Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, 19508, in memory of Donald C. Sparr Sr.
