with his best friend "Bella" by his side.
Born April 27, 1964, in Coatesville, Chester Co., Pa,, he was a son of Patricia A. (Johnson) Deck, Reading, and the late Harvey H. Deck, Jr.
A graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, he worked as a mechanic. Doug loved working on cars, walks on the beach, watching fireworks, drawing, hanging out with friends, church functions, helping at food banks, was an avid Grateful Dead follower. Known for his huge heart, love of people, his iguana's, mopeds, and going to events with his son.
He will truly be missed by his family, his many friends in PA and VA, but most of all the dog he shared with his son, "Bella Girl."
He is survived by: his mother; his son: Douglas L. Deck, Jr.; his sisters: Audrey R., wife of Louis A. Turczynski and Karen M. Hertzog; his brother, John Miller, husband of Lorraine; his former spouse: Patricia F. (Lease) Deck; and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services and burial in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stouchsburg, will be private and at the convenience of the family.
