Earl Latshaw Obituary


Earl W. Latshaw, 79, of Huffs Church, died July 28, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Joyce (Benfield) Latshaw.

Born in Barto, he was a son of the late Norman C. and Mary M. (Weller) Latshaw.

He owned and operated a dairy farm in Huffs Church, since 1958. Earl was a very active lifetime member of the Hereford Mennonite Church, Bally and he served on the Cemetery Board for over 30 years. He also served his community as a former member and chairman of the District Twp. Planning Commission.

Surviving are children: Nancy, wife of David Bleiler II, of Fleetwood; Jane Latshaw, of Perkasie; Linda, wife of Michael Moyer, of Boyertown; Bruce Latshaw and Mark Latshaw, both at home on the farm; 5 grandchildren; and brothers: Lee and his wife Jean of Sassamansville; and Karl and his wife Darlene of Barto.

He was predeceased by a sister, Esther.

Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Hereford Mennonite Church, Bally. A viewing will be from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the church. After passing through his beloved farm one last time, he will be buried next to his wife in the church cemetery.
