He was the husband of Shirley Irene (Beck) Gensemer who died August 22, 2004. Born December 29, 1920 in Clifton Forge, VA, he was a son of the late George and Alice (Rodgers) Gensemer.
Edward was employed as a tractor-trailer driver with Halls Motor, Reading, for 35 years, where he received numerous awards and trophies for accident-free driving. He truly loved his job, despite how far he had to drive or the conditions of the roads; he loved being a trucker. Although he spent much time away from his home, his family always knew they were in his heart, no matter how far away he was. Known to other CB truckers as the G-Man, he was famous for always having a toothpick in his mouth.
Later in life, Edward worked for several security firms in the Reading area and retired years later.
Surviving are four children: Jacqueline M., wife of Joseph M. Kurtz of Wernersville; Kathy A., wife of Terry L. Wasser of Muhlenberg Township; Mary A., wife of Jeffrey Borja of Richmond Hill, GA; and Edward T. Gensemer Jr., of Northampton, PA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Edward was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of service.

Grandpop.... I will miss you very much. And, I love you. My greatest memory of you, always laughing and making that certain face when we would talk. You were always so kind and good hearted to all that knew you. Always were a big help to "Dad". He always appreciated you being at pallet shop to check up on things and lend a hand. And, I am very sad that you are gone. but, never forgotten. You are no longer in pain anymore. And may God and his angels, watch over you everyday. Keeping you safe. My deepest sympathy and condolences also go out to my family through this difficult time. God Bless...
