Evangeline was the wife of the late John C. Cranos, who worked at GE. She is survived by her children, Connie and Chris Cranos of Fairfield, CT; her brother, John Morris of Nashville, TN; and her sister-in-law, Amelia Morris in Reading, PA.
Born in Reading on December 8, 1932, Evangeline was daughter of the late Samuel and Antonia (Kevelos) Morris and the sister of the late Peter Morris, Constantine (Gus) Morris, and Martha (Morris) Joyce.
Vangie grew up in Reading and moved many times around the country. She was an active member of the Greek Orthodox church and the Philoptochos Greek philanthropic organization.
She was a teacher who earned her B.S. degree at Kutztown University and her Masters at Temple University, and continued to take classes throughout her life.
She worked as a teacher in the PA, NY and CT school systems and later worked in a business founded by her husband, running administrative affairs. With her family, she traveled extensively worldwide.

Mrs. Cranos was my first grade teacher at Pleasant Valley Elementary School in Schenectady, New York. She was sweet and very special. I loved her so much. I remember when she was pregnant with Connie. My mother and I visited her after her birth, but regrettably didn´t keep in touch. I will never forget her.
