Forrest Strawbridge Obituary

Forrest W. Strawbridge, 93, passed away on September 7, 2022 at Country Meadows Retirement Community in Wyomissing, Pa. Forrest was born to Harold and Bessie (Ziegler) Strawbridge in West Reading, Pa. on September 30, 1928. He graduated from Wilson High School in West Lawn, Pa. in 1946 and later served in the U.S. Army in Korea. In May 1953, Forrest married Virginia Yenser of Reading, Pa. and moved to Sinking Spring, Pa. where he worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 1987. In addition to his civil service job, he also grew Christmas Trees and continued to do so after retirement until relocating to Womelsdorf Pa. Forrest is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter Karen Smoker of Ephrata, Pa. and son Shawn Strawbridge of Sterling, Ma. A private service is to be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on September 30, 2022
