She was a lifelong member of St. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church. Over the years Frances participated in various parish faith formation programs and was active in the Rosary Society, the Holy Family Guild, of which she was a former secretary and the Soldality of the Blessed Virgin Mary, of which she was a former president. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at Reading Hospital. She is survived by her children, Robert J., husband of Jodi L. (Kiefer) Charnigo and Carol (Charnigo) Allocco and her husband Stephen A. Allocco; and by her grandchildren, Aubri K. Charnigo, Brianne T. Charnigo, Alexandra M. Charnigo, Jonathan R. Charnigo, Anna E. Allocco, Sara M. Allocco and Emily C. Allocco; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 40 years, Joseph E. Charnigo and by her sister, Anna H. (Jacisin) Borst and brother, Joseph M. Jacisin. Frances was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook, read, and dance the polka. She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe on several trips with her husband. Dear Charnigo Family,
We are saddened to hear about your mom's passing. We remember you family attending SS Cyril's mass on Sundays as our family did. My mom, who was also a resident at Phoebe, enjoyed, with my dad, several visits with your mom and I know it comforted them to see a friend from the parish community. May you find peace in the memories you have of your beautiful mom.
