He was the husband of Barbara Waltz Sabo, to whom he was married to for 51 years.
Born in Lebanon County on Nov. 25, 1942, he was the son of the late Louis and Hattie B. Shirk Sabo.
Fred was a millwright and charter boat captain. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Belle-grove, Elstonville Sportsman's Club and Captain's Association. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, motor-cycling, camping and charter fishing. He also loved restoring antiques, built two homes and was a dog lover. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Capt. Frederick L. Sabo, Jr., and wife Dawn, and Jeffrey L. Sabo, both of Manheim; and a daughter, Wanda M. Ober of Manheim; two brothers, Richard Sabo, and wife Karlene of CA, and
Randall Sabo of WA; four sisters: Nancy, wife of Edwin Heisey of CA, Gloria Smith of Annville, Loretta, wife of Wilhelm Schwarz of Lebanon, and Carol, wife of Jeff Elson of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Louis Sabo, and two sisters, Julia Mark-worth and Bonita Sabo.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Barb, Fred, Jeff and Wanda...Praying for comfort during this time for your family.
