Glenn R. Arters

Glenn R. Arters, 88 of Birdsboro, PA passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Columbia Cottage in Wyomissing, PA. Born in Birdsboro, PA he was the son of the late Franklin R. and Mary E. (Hoffman) Arters. Glenn worked as a Production Manager for Drug Plastics & Glass in Boyertown, PA. for many years. Glenn was a graduate of Birdsboro High School Class of 1951 where he was an outstanding athlete, lettering in soccer, basketball, and baseball, being his best. His love of horses was unprecedented. He spent 25 yrs. living in Morris, PA raising and riding horses. He was a member of the American Legion Post 626 and VFW Post 411. Glenn was also a member of the former Alice Focht United Methodist Church in Birdsboro. He was a US Marine Corp. Veteran who served our country in the Korean Conflict, living by God, Family, Country, & Corps. Surviving Glenn are his children: Kent D. Arters, husband of Susan of Reading, PA; Kevin S. Arters, husband of Deborah of Birdsboro, PA; Corinne R. Bascelli, wife of David of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; 3 grandchildren: Megan M. Warren, Aaron M. Arters, and Brandon S. Arters; and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00AM at Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home, prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in Birdsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 862, Carnegie, PA 15106. Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. Birdsboro, PA is in charge of arrangements.
