Grace Fabian Obituary

It is with great sadness but deep peace that we share that Grace Louise (Jones) Fabian was called home to be with her Savior on January 1st, 2024. Grace was a faithful wife, patient mother, loving friend, studious Bible translator and a persevering missionary. Her entire life was a testimony of the grace of God sustaining her wherever the will of God took her. Her gentleness was her strength and her determined spirit overpowered her momentary feelings of inadequacy as she looked to her shepherd for constant guidance. Grace was an amazing speaker, mentor to many, an avid letter writer, and now a joyful worshipper before the throne. Grace was born on January 26th, 1938, in Syracuse, NY to Clarence Eddie Jones and Myrtle Blanche (Scaife) Jones. After serving as a missionary among the Quixteco people of Mexico for ten years, Grace met Edmund Fabian and they married in 1967. Together they moved to Papua New Guinea to serve among the Nabak people to translate the precious scriptures they treasured so dearly. In spite of her husband's tragic death in 1993, Grace pressed on to complete the translation with a grand dedication ceremony in 1998. After retiring from Wycliffe, she published a memoir of her life titled: Outrageous Grace. Grace is survived by her dear sisters Kathryn Jones and Mary Macie, her four children, Jonathan Fabian, Dietlinde Hoffman, Heidi Cassise, and Kurt Fabian, as well as 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. We will not forget the way she touched each of our lives and ran the race with endurance and grace. The memorial service will be held Saturday, January 13th at Hopewell Church, 2286 Hopewell Rd. Elverson, PA. Greeting at 12:30, service at 1:00, meal and sharing to follow. Livestream: hopewellchurch.org. In lieu of flowers and to honor Grace Fabian's legacy, please consider making a donation to help complete the Nabak audio Bible at GraceFabian.com. Dengler Funeral Home, Inc, Birdsboro, PA is in charge of arrangements.

Gracie was our next door neighbor and we miss daily no longer seeing her come outside to go for a walk or just to talk about our daily chores etc.

Grace was our friend for over 50 years. She was an amazing lady. Very talented in writing, sewing cooking and being a special friend. She gave of herself in everything she did and poured love into everyone she met. Heaven is rejoicing even as we are sad. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her translation work were her greatest joys. We miss you and send heartfelt love to the entire family. Lynne and David.for all the Youngblood family.
