Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. Shaffer and Nancy (Paller) Shaffer.
Gretchen is survived by one brother, Ricky Shaffer; two sisters; Brooke Shaffer and Kim Gauronski; step-mother, Judy Shaffer; and step-brother, Michael Lockett. She is also survived by her Hamburg Center family.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Hamburg Center Auditorium on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
