Helen Manno Obituary


Helen E. Manno, 83, of Muhlenberg Twp. passed away Thursday, June 7 in her residence.

Helen was married to the late Joseph T. Manno, who passed away Aug. 3, 2001.

Helen was born June 7, 1929, in Owl's Nest, Elk Co., PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles F. Woodford and Martha A. (Smith) Woodford.

Helen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Shillington.

Surviving are four children: John T. Manno of Union City, PA, S. Diane Bestor of Butler, Pa., Madalene H. Manno of Provo, Utah, and Thomas A. Manno of Muhlenberg Twp.

She was predeceased by a son, David B. Manno, who passed away January 1999.

Helen was a graduate of Kane High School.

There are 13 grandchild-ren and 25 great-grand-children.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 9 at 1 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, 510 Park Ave., Shillington, PA with Rev. Russell Wiedel officiating. Friends and family may attend a viewing at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday from noon until time of service. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 212 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
