Mr. Barth was born in Reading, PA and was the son of the late Paul Norman and Kathryn Ann (Lafferty) Barth.
He was a retired VP of the PA Credit Union Assn. A graduate of the Penn State Credit Union Institute and CUNA School of the University of WI, Jack pioneered the Reading Gas (UGI) Employees FCU. Jack served in the Korean War.
He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Oaks Rod & Gun Club. He was a lifetime member of the Ivy Leaf Club of Reading. He was a member of the 1948 graduating class of Reading High School.
Mr. Barth is survived by his wife of 60 years, Neysa (Borkert) Barth; one son, Kurt Barth (Marcy) of Middletown, two daughters, Daris Cirillo (Nick Cantone) of Harrisburg and Colleen Brindamour Nace (James) of Harrisburg; grandchildren: Philip and Nicholas Cirillo, Christina Patterson (Shane), Jack Barth, Kathryn Brindamour; step-grandchildren: Mindy Arguarza (Jose) and Mason Colon (Amy); five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 6011 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.
