Jack Matz Obituary
Jack W. Matz, 87, passed away July 20, 2013 at Treasure Coast Hospice.
He was born in Reading, PA and lived with his daughter, JoAnne, in Hobe Sound for six years. He was a World War II veteran and received two purple hearts during his tour of duty.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Catherine; his daughter, JoAnne; his son, Jack Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of McKinney, TX; two granddaughters, Catherine Shepard and Christina Carnes, both of TX.
He was preceded in death by his son, James C. Matz.
Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997 or to the "Help Us Help Them Fund" of the Pegasus Foundation, a charity benefitting animals at P. O. Box 787, Hobe Sound, FL 33475.
Services will be conducted at a later date at the convenience of the family.
