Jaime Noel Ramos

Jaime Noel Ramos, 69, formerly of Mohrsville, passed away on November 2, 2023, in the care of Reading Hospital. He was the widower of Ruth Kershner-Ramos, who passed away on July 1, 2023. Born in Ponce, PR, Jaime was one of the 11 children of the late Ramon and Maria (Cruz) Ramos. Jaime attended Thomas Edison High School of Philadelphia. Jaime was a talented percussionist, playing the drums, bongos, and congas. Music was his passion, but he sacrificed a career in music in favor of raising his family. During his early 20's, he drove a Mr. Softee truck. He worked as a security guard at the Fairgrounds Square Mall, where he met his wife, Ruth. For many years Jaime worked as a CDL driver and during his career, he achieved the milestone of driving over 5,000,000 miles. "Hammer" will be missed by many. A religious man, Jaime's family attends St. Peter the Apostle Church of Reading. Jaime's memory will be treasured by his children: Maggie Aris-Williams (widow of Jason Aris-Williams) of Mt. Laurel; Marilyn Falu (Julio Falu) of Philadelphia; Marisol Ramos of Philadelphia; Abram Ramos (Amanda Alvarez) of Eugene, OR; Gabriela Ramos of Mohrsville; and Leanna Ramos (fiance of Andrei Eisenhardt) of Leesport; grandchildren: Deja Lee Rolon; Roberto Arturo Lopez; David Rolon Jr.; Riana Lopez; Jonathan Antonio Ramos; Jacob Alexander Ramos; and Mason Aris-Williams; and one great grandchild, Lyla Chanel DeJesus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 322 S 5th St, Reading, PA 19602, with commital to follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens.
