Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry and Catherine (Kennedy) Pacifico.
He was a graduate of Reading High School and Wharton School University of Pennsylvania. James was a U.S. Navy veteran.
James was a founding partner of Reinsel Pacific Langdon, Houck and Beaver C.P.A. Firm. Then, he was owner and president of Eagle Chemical Company, retiring in 2003.
He was president of Sales and Marketing Executives, president of the Berks County Tennis Club, a member of the executive board of Olivets Boys and Girls Club. He was president of the PA Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The Eagle Chemical Company was selected as one of the top 100 chemical companies in the U.S. He was a member of the Philadelphia Chemical Club and a member of the Ethics Committee of PICPA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jon R., husband of Madeline Pacific, Jersey City, NJ; his daughter, Michele A., wife of Michael Fischetti, Wyomissing; his brother, Dr. Samuel, husband of Patricia Pacifico, Kenosha, WI; his stepbrother, Jeffrey, husband of Elizabeth Gattone, Reading; two sisters, Dolores, widow of Anthony Lavigna, and Lillian, wife of Frank McTamney, all of Reading; his stepsister, Janet Schaeffer, Ft. Myers, FL; and four grandchildren, Nicholas Fischetti, Natalie Fischetti, Lincoln Pacific and Addison Pacific.
Memorial services will be Saturday 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be private.
Friends may call Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Olivet's Boy's and Girl's Club, 1161 Pershing Blvd, Reading, PA 19611.

Jim was an all around nice person. Went to their wedding I remember when Elvena met Jim on a ski trip with the Flying Duthmen. So sorry to hear of his passing I would life to give my condolence to Elvina and his family may God rest his soul.
