She was the wife of Carl W. Remp. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Susan (Meashy) Matz.
Mrs. Remp was employed at Alcon as a lead technician, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church of Pennwyn, Gouglersville Fire Company, and Brecknock Township Ladies Auxiliary, where she was the former secretary.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children: Barbara Demanski, Shillington; Judy Plotzker, Sinking Spring; Diane Kohl, Sinking Spring; Karlotta Werner, Jacksonwald; Deborah Spadafora, Sinking Spring; Dina Handwerk, Louisville, Ky.; Dennis Remp, Shillington; Barry Remp, Sinking Spring; Jeffrey Remp, Frackville; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley Beadencup, Ephrata.
Contributions may be made in Mrs. Remp's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 237 Court Street, Reading, PA 19601, and/or Berks Heim County Home, 1011 Berks Road, Leesport, PA 19533.
Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 129 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, Monday, June 20, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Larry Reinert to officiate. Burial will be private in Mohnsville Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 5:00-7:00 p.m.

To Carl and the entire family. I'm very sorry for your loss and that I won't be able to attend the viewing. Jane was such a pleasant and genuinely nice person. She was obviously a wonderful mother too because it's just great how with so many kids, grand kids and so on that you have always remained so close over the years. That comes from having a caring mother to keep things together. Again, sorry for your loss, but the memories will live on forever.
