The husband of Linda J. Theodossiou. They were married for 37 years.
They co-operated the Olympian Ballroom and Fred Astaire Dance Studio.
Jerry was born in Port Said, Egypt, a son of the late Catherine (Chrysoghelos) and John Theodossiou, while his father was working as the Chief Engineer on the Suez Canal.
A graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He also attended Sabonne University in Paris for Engineering.
Jerry later earned 2 Fellowships from The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance in London, England, one in Latin American Dance and the other in ballroom Dance. This is the same Society as Len Goodman from Dancing with Stars.
Jerry was the Dance Director at Fred Astaire Dance Studio at the Olympian Ballroom in West Reading and has been teaching dancing for over 50 plus, working until his recent illness.
At the New York Worlds Fair, he won 1st Place in the World Championship.
A devoted Greek Orthodox, he was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
He proudly served in the the British Army as a Sgt. during WWII in Guerilla and Intelligence units. Jerry was very proud of his military service time.
In addition to his wife, Linda, Jerry is also survived by a brother, Stanley J. Theodossiou, of Reading, PA, and by a niece, Irene (Theodossiou) Marcantonis, and nephew, John Theodossiou.
Services are private at the convenience of family. A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later time.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. Interment of his casketed remains will be in Charles Evans Cemetery Reading, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 E. Wyomissing Blvd., Reading, PA 19611.
