She was the widow of Uri E. Williams.
Born in Mainesburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Spencer and Florence (Canfield) Cleveland.
She was a member of the West Lawn United Methodist Church, since moving to Shillington in 2000. Prior, she attended Sugar Creek United Methodist Church in Columbia Cross Roads, PA.
She is survived by daughters, F. Arlene (Williams) Klinger of Bernville, PA, and Hazel L. (Thomas) Tarbox of Blossburg, PA; a son, Spencer Thomas of Columbia Cross Roads; stepdaughters, Doris (Williams) Taylor, and Leola (Williams) Lyons; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her special niece, Joyce (Meeker) Colegrove.
She was predeceased by stepdaughter Louise (Williams) Simcoe, stepson Levi Williams, and sisters, Hazel (Cleveland) Meeker, Gladys (Cleveland) Thomas and Ev-elyn (Cleveland) Merriam.
She was blessed with a nurturing heart, always trying to help those around her. She had a strong faith in Christ. She had fond memories of the Columbia Cross Roads Birthday Club.
She was a homemaker, who enjoyed her family, crafting, gardening, canning and baking. In particular, she crocheted, made stuffed animals, did elaborate embroidery and beaded works, and jigsaw lawn ornaments.
The family would like to extend their thanks for the loving care of the Berks Heim Staff, especially the B1 unit.
A viewing will be held Saturday, February 9th from 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 North 5th Street, Reading, PA 19601.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. in Vickery Funeral Home, 110 W. Main Street, Troy, PA, 16947. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Flowers may be sent to either funeral home, and contributions can be to made to Sugar Creek United Methodist Church, RR#3, Box 457, Troy, PA 16947 in memory of Jessie Williams.
