Joan Jehan Obituary


Joan B. Jehan, 82, of Mohnton, died April 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center, Wyomissing, where she was a guest since April 2nd.

She was the wife of the late Ronald A. Jehan, who died December 9, 1990. Born in Beverly, MA, she was a daughter of the Honorable Joseph B. Silverio and Ida M. (Barbati) Silverio Rackle.

She was a nursery school teacher in Wallingford, MA. She owned the Merry Moppett School there for 40 years, retiring in 1991. Joan had resided in Connecticut from 1950-2010.

She was a member of Local Christian Assembly. She was a graduate of North Reading High School, Reading, MA and the University of Connecticut.

Her grandchildren were her life. She loved kids - they were her life. Joan was a person that never grew up.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Rev. Brian W. Cutts, Sinking Spring; 2 grandchildren: Joshua B. Cutts and Eleisha B., wife of Gabriel Moreno, both of Mohnton; 1 sister, June Couture, Reading, MA and 2 nieces: Christine Nelson of Randolph, NJ and Karen Couture of Derry, NH. She is predeceased by her two daughters, Suzanne A. Cutts and Cynthia Jehan.

Graveside services from St. John's (Hain's) U.C.C. Cemetery, Wernersville, today, April 28, 2014 at 11:30 AM. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Shillington, is assisting the family.
