---A Prayer for Joan Peffley---
Lord Jesus Christ, King of everlasting glory, You are the Redeemer and Savior of the world and of my friend Joan Peffley whom I entrust to You.
Death seems so cruel, so final, but from Your own mouth, because of Your words, I believe that You have gone to prepare a place for us in Your Father's house. We know that You, Bright Redeemer, welcome the soul that trusts in You even in the last moment, like the dying thief on the cross.
Welcome Joan Peffley and all the dying at the gates of the eternal Jerusalem. Let them see the glory that awaits us in Your kingdom. Accept my prayers and the prayers of the Church to hasten their journey. Let them know that we remember them here and remind them to pray for us who are still on this perilous journey. We ask You merciful Savior, to give them all eternal rest.
Amen.
Blessings to all of you,
Cathy

To Joan's family,
Carl and I were saddened to here about your loss. With every story told about the class of 1951, Joan's name was mentioned; what a wonderful friend, classmate, and human being. She will be sorely missed. Sincerely, Carl and Debbie Schnellenbach
