Butch gave me a chance to play at several events. He was a kind, inspiring man. He was a rare combination of being a great entertainer, musician and promoter. He would give anyone a chance. He was of course a great example of a Christian. He will be missed sorely. God bless his family.

Butch certainly left his mark in this world and will be sorely missed. He had faith in his God and country, loved his family and friends, and believed in himself. He was one of a kind, with a big heart. It is sad to lose someone so dedicated to others. I wish peace for all who mourn his loss.

Butch was certainly one of the "good" guys whom this world will greatly miss...
He was a light of God in this world of dark....
I will hold on to all the memories we shared the past 40+ years....
One day again in God's Loving Presence Forever.....
To his family, I'm so sorry for your loss, however, as you know, he's with God and in eternal peace
