Born in Reading on June 24, 1939, he was a son of the late John R. and Mary Zajac.
John Zajac attended Catholic and public schools in Reading, PA, and later received a GED while serving his country as a U.S. Marine. He also attended Lincoln Technical Institute, where he earned a degree in auto mechanics and transmissions.
John was self-employed as the owner of Johnny's Reiffton Sunoco Service Station from 1972-1977. He also was the owner/operator of Morgantown Big A Auto Parts and Birdsboro Big A Auto Parts until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine F. (Kohl) Zajac; children: L. Allen Kohl, husband of Glenva (Lengel); Stephen C. Kohl, husband of Tanya (Stanley); Faye J. Wade, fianceé of Michael Kearns and Edward J. Zajac, husband of Theresa (Morrison); six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters: Carol A. Glembocki, widow of Andrew; Julia Zajac, Ann M. (Perrotto) Schweitzer, widow of Gerald, and brother, Stanley Zajac, life partner of the late Scott Dennis.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, 19508.

I'm so sorry to hear about John's passing. He was a great guy and he gave me a lot of good memories. Now he's at peace with the Lord. God bless his family and may they be comforted knowing he's in a better place and his suffering is over.
