Born in Reading, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Zaffiro) Maiorana.
Josephine was the loving wife of the late Frank P. Border who died in 1994.
She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in West Reading, Pa.
Josephine is survived by two daughters, Barbara Commings, wife of George Cintron, of Oviedo, Fla., and Marsha J. Cassidy, wife of William J. Cassidy Jr. of Lancaster, Pa.; and a son, David A. Border, husband of Anne (Raab) Border, of St. Augustine, Fla.; and three grandchildren: Matthew Border, husband of Stephanie Flautero, of Orlando, Fla., Jacqueline Cassidy Nolan, wife of Bryan Nolan, of Brookline, Mass., and William J. Cassidy III, of Cambridge, Mass.
Preceding her in death were brothers, Anthony Maiorana and Felix Maiorana; and sisters: Mary Maiorana, Serafina Bodanza and Jane Bechtel.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a prayer service held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, Pa. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Please omit flowers; those desiring so may send a donation in Josephine's name to a charity of their choice.
