Mark was the loving husband of Kimberly A. (DeFrancisco) Gettis, his wife of 32 years, and father of Elizabeth A. (Gettis) Fick, wife of Andrew J. Fick, of Bern Township, and Mark A. Gettis Jr., husband of Natalie J. (Hagen) Gettis, of Harrisburg. Mark was the son of Robert B. and Edith M. (Hertzog) Gettis, of Lower Alsace Township, and a graduate of Mt. Penn High School, class of 1982.
Mark attended Upper Bucks Area Vocational Technical School for Aircraft Maintenance and worked as an airline mechanic for American Airlines for nearly 30 years.
Mark's biggest loves in life were his family and his faith. An attendee of GT Church in West Lawn, Mark served as a small group leader for elementary-aged boys as well as in many other capacities. He was always willing to help
anyone in whatever way he could, and his smile and positivity were contagious. Mark was a light to everyone he met, and many will fondly remember him as a hero amongst us.

survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Lavina Kostzewa; sister, Rosalie Coble and husband John; sister, Dawn Cambria and husband James; brother, Matt Gettis and wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Christina Floto and husband Edmond; brother-in-law, Kevin Duggan and wife Carole; niece, Andrea Jones and husband Andy, and
great-niece Hazel; nephew, John Duggan; nephew, Matt Cambria, wife Chelsea, and great-niece, Charlie; niece,
Katie Duggan; nephew, Mitch Gettis; nephew, Zachary Cambria and fiancé, Amanda Fick; and nephew, Logan Gettis.
A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held on Saturday, September 2, at 11:00 a.m. at GT Church, 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn, PA 19610, officiated by Pastors Scott Kramer and Eric Goldsborough. Mark's family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, September 1 at GT Church from 7:00-9:00 p.m. as well as beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, until the time of service.
Interment will follow the services at Laureldale
Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I knew him back in high school, and he was always a nice person. I'm happy that he found much joy in his life and was able to make a difference in the lives of many. That is the kind of legacy we would all wish to leave behind.
