Mary A. Huether

Mary A. (Bagdonis) Huether, 82, Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly of Orwigsburg, died in the morning of Sept. 17 in the Orwigsburg residence of her daughter, Mary Ellen Turick.

She was the widow of Harry C. Huether, who died in May 1992.

Born in New Philadelphia, Schuylkill County, on Sept. 12, 1924, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Gregitis) Bagdonis.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, and Church of The Resurrection, Fort Myers.

She is also survived by two sons, Charles Huether and John Huether, both of Fort Myers; and three daughters: JoAnn Huether and Mary Ellen Turick, both of Orwigsburg; and Nancy Huether, Fort Myers.

Other survivors include a sister, Eva Stanus, Port Carbon, Schuylkill County.

There are 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a brother, George Bagdonis; and three sisters: Anna Braukus, Helen Bagdonis and Catherine Bagdonis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 8 p.m. in St. Ambrose Church. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the church and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. in Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, with Recitation of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow on Thursday in Schuylkill Memorial Park near Schuylkill Haven.
