His wife, Betty (Brown) Yatron, died in 1991. Born in Reading on January 10, 1924,
a son of the late Peter and Rallio (Papagis) Yatron.
He was a graduate of Reading High School.
Nicholas served as an Armored Car
Gunner in the U.S. Army during WWII,
having received a Purple Heart and the
Legion of Honor from France.
After WWII, he and his brothers started Yatron Brothers Cabinetry, which later became Adelphi Kitchens.
He enjoyed speaking every year at the Reading Airport WWII Days about the Battle of the Bulge. He also enjoyed selling antiques at the Black Angus in Adamstown and at Renningers in Kutztown.
He is survived by four sisters: Marina Asthon, Irene Perrine, Marilyn Holden and Francis, wife of Richard
Miller; a brother, Stratton Yatron, husband of Sarah; daughter-in-law, Barbara (Henning) Yatron; his grandson and right hand man, Christopher W. Yatron, husband of Heather (Heck); granddaughter, Amy Savant; and great-grandchildren, Eleana and Celaney Yatron, whom he
treasured.
He was also predeceased by a son, William P. Yatron, and three brothers: Paul, Robert and Michael Yatron.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lamm & Witman
Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville. Inurnment will be
at Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice, Attn: Voluntary Services, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
