Raymond C. Eckenroth

Raymond C. Eckenroth, 91, formerly of Reading, passed away May 17, 2023 at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown, where has a guest since June 26, 2019. Born on Reading, he was a son of the late William W. Eckenroth, Sr., and Ida Elizabeth (Kraft) Eckenroth. He was the husband of the late Lois (Miller) Eckenroth who passed away July 5, 2020. Ray attended Reading High School and trained as an electrician. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He loved golf and trains, family picnics, and holiday gatherings at his home. Ray especially loved his dog, Laddie, and cat, Tigger. Ray and Lois were members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Tuckerton. Ray is survived by his stepson - James R. Brudereck and his wife Audrey, Laureldale, his stepdaughter â€" Robin B. Martin, Royersford, his step grandchildren â€" Andrew J. husband of Jessica G. Martin, Heather Ann Brudereck wife of Ian Browning and 2 step-great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers â€" Bill and his wife Eileen, Bernville, Bob and his wife Sharon, Robesonia, his sisters â€" Gerry widow of Marvin Stamm, Mertztown, Louise wife of Lew Ziegler, Wernersville, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, and parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Tom and Kenny and his sister Cathy Dunlap.
