He was the husband of Rose M. (Penta) Hauser, who died Jan. 20, 1997. They had been married 49 years.
Born in Reading on June 15, 1914, he was the son of the late Francis V. and Carrie A. (Weaver) Hauser.
Mr. Hauser was a retired accountant.
He was a graduate of Reading High School and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hauser was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown, and a former member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park, for many years.
He was a former volunteer fireman for the Junior Fire Company, Reading.
Mr. Hauser served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Raymond J. Hauser, husband of Patricia L. (Landis) Hauser, Bowers, and John F. Hauser, husband of Colleen H. (Hartman) Hauser, Sinking Spring.
Also surviving are four grandchildren: Christopher R. Hauser, Los Alamos, N.M.; Elizabeth L. Wilock, Seymour, Conn.; Alexander J. Hauser, Richmond, Va.; and Nicole R. Hauser, a student at Fordham University, New York City.
There are also two great-grandchildren, Sean D. Wilock and Liam R. Hauser; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's RCC, Kutztown, Friday at 10 a.m.
Visitation will be in the church from 9 a.m. to time of Mass.
Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Henninger Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
