Richard Drexel

Richard William Drexel Richard William Drexel, 90, of Shillington, passed away January 26, 2021. He resided at The Heritage of Green Hills for the past 6 years. He was the husband of Gloria L. (Cooper) Drexel with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Reading, He was a son of the late William A. and Catharine May (Keim) Drexel. He was a machine operator for 35 years for North American Rockwell, retiring in 1995. A 1948 graduate of the former Shillington High School, he was a member of Immanuel U.C.C., Shillington, Reading Lodge No. 549 F&AM, and the 148th Fighter Squadron Association. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a partner of Drexel Beer Distributor, Laureldale from 1959-1965. In addition to his loving wife Gloria, he is survived by his daughters–Cherri, wife of Chuck Dippenworth, Janel, wife of John Hoffert, Michelle, wife of Kevin Redcay, his grandchildren –Sarah (Dippenworth) Kyte, Karen (Dippenworth) Frostbutter, Mickenzie (Dippenworth) Hyson, Austin, Blayne & Aubrey Hoffert, Kerryn & Kellen Redcay and his great grandchildren– Nathan & Ben Kyte and Colin Frostbutter. Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 1:00–2:00 p.m. at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington.
