He died at home surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony T. Interrante Sr. and Mary J. (Guzik) Interrante, of East Norriton, PA. He was the husband of Joan P. (Pickles) Interrante, at home.
He worked for PECO Energy as a generator operator, then later as a Corrosion Control Mechanic for 30 years. He also worked in maintenance for the Twin Valley School District for 12 years, retiring in 2015.
He was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. in Amityville, PA; graduated from Bishop Kenrick, class of 1972; National Education Assoc. for Twin Valley; and also the Twin Valley Union.
Richard liked to travel and loved the beach and the ocean. He was a avid gardener and loved his plants.
He and his wife, Joan, were high school sweethearts and were married on May 27, 1977, and have been married for 43 years.
Surviving, along with his wife and mother, are: 1 brother, Anthony T. Interrante Jr. ,of Green Lane, PA, and his sweetheart Cockapoo, Peaches.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's U.C.C., 1312 Old Swede Rd., Douglassville, PA 19518, on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation an hour before the service at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's U.C.C., at the above address, or The Children's Home of Reading, 1010 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601.
Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., Birdsboro, PA, is in charge of the arrangements.
