He was the loving husband of Judith A. (Bucci) Avella-Keller; they were married in October of 2004.
Born in Lenhartsville, he was the son of the late William H. and Grace E. (Smith) Keller.
Bob was a graduate of Kutztown High School in 1958 and West Chester University in December of 1965.
He was a music teacher for the Wyomissing Area School District for 37 years, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of (Salem) Belleman's Union Church.
Bob loved trains, guns, cars, music, photography, motorcycles, food, cooking and most importantly his family.
He played in the Decades Dance Band, the Wyomissing Band, and the Rhinelanders and Johnny Schmokers German Bands. Bob was a member of the Liederkrantz Chorus and played in a local recorder consort. He also enjoyed his membership in the AASR model railroad club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Kathleen G., wife of Rodney Boyer, Bechtelsville, and Kristina A., wife of Brian Smith, Addison, N.Y.; and one stepson, Todd R., husband of Aimee Avella, Cranford, N.J. There are six grandchildren: Brynna, Andrew, Benjamin, husband of Cassidy, Chloe, Gavin and Avery.
He was predeceased by his brother, Gary Keller.
Services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 12 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Salvation Army, 301 S. 5th St., Reading, PA 19602.

To the Keller Family, we were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bob.
He taught all my children and did a wonderful job.
He was a hero to my Grandson who is also a rail fan. We shared some nice times together.
