Robert Singleton Obituary
Robert Lee Singleton, 67, of Reading, went home to Glory January 14, 2016. He was the son of the late Thomas C. Singleton and Georgia A. Pegram Singleton. Robert was a member of Zion Baptist Church and was a born again believer of Jesus Christ.
He was last employed at Kmart.
He was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
Survivors: niece, Tanja Singleton Morton, wife of Larry Morton; great-nieces, Jasmine Rivera, Shardonay Rostick; great-nephews: Jhalil Rivera, Nazir Parker and Jhalil Rivera Jr.; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Marlene Hightower Singleton; and brothers: Thomas, Arthur and William Singleton.
Services: 2 p.m., Thursday, in T.J. Baker Funeral Home, Inc., 222 N. Front Street, Reading. Viewing begins at 1 p.m.

I'm so saddened to hear of the passing of Bob, a close childhood friend. I saw him a few weeks ago and we joked about how we got caught trying to steal a box of Skippy Peanut butter off a truck.We both straightened up for good after that. I'll truly miss him.My sympathy and sincere condolences to the family.
