Dear Debbie and family, Bill and I missed this and we are so sorry. Your mother was a warm person who made us all feel at home. Her frequent correspondence was a delight and we kept up a regular mailing of turkeys, holiday pictures, cats and Christopher Robin cards with personal notes. She was a connection to my parents and another time .

Sarah has always been a family favorite for my late parents and me. She and I met when she was 17 and I was 7. Later I was so pleased to have her as my 7th grade home room teacher as Miss Davenport in Hamburg in 1950. We continued to communicate. What a sweet kind woman. It seemed everyone who knew her loved her. We communicated until less than two years ago when she was no longer able. Sarah will always be to me the beautiful young woman wearing a white robe on a tall pedestal and that is how I will remember her. She certainly influenced me as to the type of girl I wanted for myself. Maybe that is why Irene and I are married 58 years. Dave Eyer

Mrs Yatron was a wonderful role model. I have an image of her swirling into the room at HHS in stylish felt skirts of the time. She made a very deep and lasting impression on me in many ways. What more could a teacher ask for. God rest her soul and give you comfort. She will not be forgotten.

As a 7th grader in Hamburg High, I looked forward to seeing Mrs. Yatron every morning because she dressed so nice, wore beautiful jewelry and was always so pleasant. A wonderful teacher. Never forgot her. She was a darling human being.
