Sharon J. Baldwin

Sharon J. Baldwin, 82, of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, formerly of Reiffton, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 9:10 am at Penn State Health-Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of William D. Baldwin. Born in Reading, Sharon was the daughter of the late Chester A. and Dorothy J. (Kauffman) Berger. She was a 1959 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of Community United Church of Christ, St. Lawrence and was a member of stitching for you within the Church. Sharon was employed by the Exeter School District for 29 years as a cafeteria employee retiring in 2003. As a teenager, Sharon joined Rainbow for Girls currently Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in September 1959. She was a 64 year member of the current chapter and torchbearer tau and held many offices in the organization. She joined the Exeter Township Ambulance Association and was an emergency medical technician, served as a dispatcher from her home, drove ambulance and was the Dean of Women. Sharon made personal greeting cards, crocheted lap robes and prayer shawls for nursing home patients. Sharon participated in craft shows displaying her crafts. In addition to her husband Bill, Sharon is survived by her children Craig D. Baldwin husband of the late Julie Baldwin of Asheboro, North Carolina; Chris D. Kohler wife of Dwayne A. Kohler of Shoemakersville; Corie D. Noble wife of Troy Noble of Reading and her 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at Community United Church of Christ 3330 St. Lawrence Ave. St. Lawrence, Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 11:00 am. Pastor Bob Turner will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends at Community United Church of Christ Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am with a service conducted by Beta Sigma Phi Sorority at 10:30 am.
