Thanks you to those who left comments below ... She was a wonderful grandmother to me and my siblings and cousins. We always came first to her. Regardless of if she was tired or doing something else. We will all miss her dearly. I am thankful to the lord that my daughter was able to spend time with her before she passed.

She was indefatigable and her culinary skills were superb. A lot of us were acquainted with her artistic skills. In third grade, the students were told to dye hard boiled eggs for the Easter egg hunt. The teacher said the nicest egg will be designated as the grand prize when found. Us Dutchies made all our eggs solid colors but David brought in what best can be described as a Faberge egg. When we saw that, all our mouths went agape, and they stayed that way for the rest of the day. Never in our wildest dreams did we think anything like that could exist, and neither did the teachers. At the teachers request, Mrs. Demko showed them the art of decorating an egg, the Ukrainian way.

So sorry for your loss. She was a strong influence to you as well as those that knew her. Many good stories and memories of her raising her three boys. Praying for the Lord's help during this difficult time.
