I worked with Tom for a short time in his 40 yrs. at the MTAA. I saw first hand the time and dedication he spent towards the organization to make it the premier little league that he made it become. He did everything from being commissioner to flipping burgers. I also had the privelege to umpire with him. He taught me how to umpire and impressed upon me to do the very best I could because the kids deserved that. He once told me "Joe, I may not have any kids of my own, but I have 256 kids here." That's the way he ran the MTAA. Everything he did was for the benefit and safety of the kids. Our community owes him a debt that can never be repaid, but he wouldn't want it repaid, or even recognized. Well, I will. "Tom, thank you for everything you've done for me, my son and every other young boy and girl that passed your way. We will all miss you very much."

I have many wonderful memories of Tom as the umpire at MTAA and I as coach. Tom was very strict and uncompromising when it came to supporting the children involved with MTAA athletics, and I respected that quality & character. I only regret not getting a chance in recent years to reminisce about the "old" days at MTAA. Rest in Peace Tom and may God bless your soul.

Tommy was a great man and cared so much about others. MTAA will never be the same without him. He was my basketball coach when I was younger and a great friend to our family. He will be greatly missed.

Tom was a great man. Everyone growing up in the MTAA has fond memories of his love and dedication to our development in athletics and as young people. He and Mickey were also wonderful neighbors. He will be missed.
