Well it has been six years since I last saw Tom. Here is one from 2017 at his daughter's wedding. Another year has passed and with it goes more memories. Still missed.

Tom spent many an hour fishing but little time catching. Many good laughs as we had the opportunity to fish. This is a 2007 photo of Tom getting ready for his fishing adventure at Lake Hammond.

Stephanie, 2019 wasn't a good year for us who have lost our spouses. But, we never forget the years we treasured with them. They may be gone but not forgotten. Accept my sympathy on the two year anniversary. Love, Gerald

Well Stephanie, Jason, Ryan and Lauren, three years have gone by quickly, but there are visual triggers that bring back the memories. Tom and I spent many hours together as kids but raising families kind of redirected our lives towards those efforts. Stories will need to be handed down to the grand children.

Tom and I spent many years as kids in Jonestown and when I was with my grand parents in Lebanon. The time together had lasting memories. Many times the memories are triggered by current events.

Stephanie,
Though Tom is no longer physically with you, his spirit and your memories are. Time has a way of healing grief. It doesn't take away your pain in this time of mourning, still it does alter how you look at the future without him. This is where your family comes in. You are fortunate to have them to carry on and face a life without dear Tom. You have received many messages from people lauding praise for him and the effects he had on so many. Use these to look ahead and be joyous that he will always have a place in your home, family and your heart. We, too, are family and are saddened that Tom suffered so much over the past year, or so, but we rejoice in that we knew him...and you. We extend to you our love and prayers.

Tom was not just a classmate, he was a veteran brother and fraternity brother of CHI Gamma Iota XGI fraternity at Millersville University and a fellow educator and teacher. He was my Vice Chairman of the LHS class of 1968 50th Reunion Committee and my go to guy in timers of questions about our committee work. He had a great sense of humor and yet a very serious side as an awesome educator and teacher. Men like him only come around once or if lucky twice in a lifetime. I am a better person for knowing and interacting with Tom. I will see my brother in Heaven and he will be without pain and according to Dr. David Jeremiah from his book on Heaven, indestructible and without sin and living a life for eternity. We both had similar medical issues and many times he would always ask me how I was doing medically and if I need anything from him fo to do for me. He may be gone from this short life on earth but he is in a much better place that we all strive to eventually be: Heaven. Stephanie and the kids will be reunited with Tom and continue their love as a family.
Tom I love you brother and you will always be in my heart and I will never forget you and await my journey to your new existence and location where I will be able to talk to you again
God & Jesus Please take care of my Brother Tom.
