Thomas Scheidt Obituary

Thomas N. Scheidt, 71, formerly of Perry Twp., passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Grace A. (Bergstresser) Scheidt. He was a US Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War. Thomas worked as an electrician for IBEW Local # 743. He had been a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shoemakersville. He was a former volunteer fireman for Shoemakersville Fire Company, and had served as president in the past. He loved his yard and always made sure his grass was in pristine condition. He is survived by three children: Lisa S. (Scheidt) Brennan, Port Clinton; Andrew T. Scheidt, husband of Tessa (Speicher), Kennett Square; and Jennifer L. Scheidt, wife of Frank Zernhelt, Middletown, DE; and three grandchildren: Ava, Joe, and Aiden. He is also survived by a brother: Phillip J. Scheidt, husband of Chris, Cherry Hill, NJ. A viewing will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 9:30 am, those wishing to attend are asked to arrive at the cemetery a few minutes early and meet the family for the service.
