His wife, Stella R. (Rothermel) Folmer, died Feb. 28, 2003.
Born in Hyde Park, he was a son of the late Charles and Katie (Mengel) Folmer.
He was employed as a full-fashioned knitter and was also the owner and operator of Folmer Awnings for 35 years, retiring in 1992. Wayne was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church,
Muhlenberg Township.
He was also a member of the Goodwill Fire Company Beneficial Association.
Wayne resided in Hyde Park his entire life. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He is survived by a niece, Estelle C., wife of Ralph E. Fehr II of Wyomissing; and two nephews, Arthur R., husband of Joan Hill, of Oley, and Richard S., husband of Edith Rothermel, of Fredericksburg, VA.
Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Arthur W. Hill (his buddy and best friend for 86 years).
Wayne was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Folmer.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.

Wayne will be sadly missed at Rittenhouse. He was a such wonderfull person. May God take care of him now. RIP Wayne!
