William Snook Obituary

William "Bill" M. Snook Sr., 69, of Reading passed away in his home on Friday, November 29, 2013.

He was the loving

husband of the late June P. (Ray) Snook, who passed away this year in August. The couple had been

married 51+ years.

Born in West Reading on October 28, 1944, he was the son of the late H. Francis and Mary Savilla (Rist) Snook. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was employed with CarTech as a band saw

operator for 29 years. Prior to that, he was employed with Dana Corp. as a general laborer for nine years.

Bill and his late wife, June, once owned and

operated Snook's Luncheonette before health issues permitted them from

doing so.

He was an avid race fan and a devoted fan of the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps and the

Turtle Club. Bill loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bill is survived by two sons: Willaim "Bill" M. Snook Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Fleetwood; and Gregory A. Snook and his wife, Ramona, of Mohnton; a daughter, MaryBeth Emerich of

West Lawn; eight grand-children and two great-grandchildren, with two

on the way.

Services for Bill are

private and at the convenience of the family. Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601 is entrusted with Bill's

arrangements. Bill's online guest book may be signed

or recorded at www.theocauman.com.
