Carolyn Beebe Obituary

Carolyn Virginia Brady Fisher Beebe On April 24, 2017, at Evergreen Healthcare in Lakeport, CA, Carolyn gave up her ten year battle with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 86. Born in Proctor, AR, a graduate of the University of Arkansas, she traveled the US as a stewardess for Braniff Airways where she met her first husband, Harold Arthur Fisher. She raised her family in Deephaven, MN, and is survived by her four children, Brady, Brett, Brian and Beth, their spouses, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Carolyn spent years dealing in antiques and selling real estate around Lake Minnetonka for Burnet Realty. In 1985, she retired to Florida where she lived in Destin on the Gulf of Mexico and eventually Boggie Bayou in Niceville. She moved in 2009 to California, following the death of her second husband, Colonel Frederick Albion Beebe. Carolyn was a high function resident at Evergreen for many years. She loved bright clothes, fun hats, dark sunglasses, and an icy cold bottle of Coca Cola. She made many friends in her new home and was a staff favorite known for her sometimes not so soft "pats" on the rump. She always kept her spirits up, was happy to see her children, and never forgot how to say, "I love you." And, she easily devoured strawberry and pecan pie until the end. She demonstrated a great deal of courage in the face of an awful disease. Her ashes will be interred in her favorite purse at the feet of her late father, James Edward Brady, in the Brady family plot, at Crittenden Memorial Park, in Marion, AK. To the staff of Evergreen Lakeport we cannot thank you enough for the love, respect and dignity you showed our mother. Please share your memories by signing the guestbook at www.legacy.com.
