James Watts Obituary

Sep 10,1939 to May 29, 2005

James was born in Placerville to Catherine and William Watts. When he was 6 months old they moved to San Jose. At the age of 17, he joined the Marine Corps and served 1956-1959. Afterward, he wore a coat of many colors as a sheriff's reserve from Lake County Sheriff's Office and as a caregiver for a number of years.

Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Richard Cox Jr. of Clearlake; and sisters, Joan Stein and Thelma Patrino; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his special little angel, Jennifer.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 17 at Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel. Reception to follow at Autumn Village Rec Room.

A special thanks for all the Hospice caregivers in our time of need: Laura, Phylis, Sue, Cathy, Arnie and Almina. Also our home caregiver, Justine (ducky).

I'll always remember uncle Jimmie's booming voice as he walked into the room. When I was little, his stories of rattle snakes were always a fascination. I've recently learned to appreciate and share his love of family history. He will be missed.

I remember when Jim joined our family. I always enjoyed his sense of humor and the way that he always made me (and my family) feel welcome. I will always be grateful for the love that he showed to Aunt Nancy, and the joy he brought into her life. He was a good man and I will miss him. Nancy and Richard, my prayers and thoughts are with you. I love you.
