Lloyd T. Egan Jr.

1939 - 2015

Lloyd T. Egan Jr. August 31, 1939 - January 5, 2015 Lloyd passed away peacefully the morning of January 5, 2015, at the age of 75 years. Family members were at his bedside. He was a very strong presence and will be greatly missed. He bravely battled several illnesses including inoper-able pancreatic cancer. Lloyd was born in Dewey, Oklahoma, on his father's birthday (which he was very proud of). He was the second of six children born to Lloyd T. Egan Sr. and Ruth (Combs). Lloyd's family moved from Oklahoma to Richmond, CA, where he attended school and eventually joined the Navy and met and married Pat (Hess). He enjoyed life to the fullest. He worked hard at two jobs, played guitar in a small local band, came to Lake County to deer hunt when he could, and was a loving father and husband. In 1967 he moved his wife and three children to Lakeport, CA, where he provided for them by running a custom farming business for about ten years. He worked in several local roof truss companies as sales manager, retiring from Piedmont Roof Truss company as sales manager in 2010. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pat; one daughter, Darcine of Santa Rosa; two sons, Lloyd T. (Tom) Egan III (friend, Linda Whitley) of Lakeport and Michael Egan also of Lakeport; four grandchildren, Sadie Egan, Sean Egan, Ashley Reyes and Jewelee Sanchez; and two great-grandchildren, Anthony Reyes and Shelby Nau. Lloyd's brothers are William (Nellie) Henderson of NV, and Edward (Georgia) Wann of OK. His sisters are Rosetta (Bob) Carter of OK, Dolly Chapman of OK, Leatha (Doug) Morse of NV, adopted sister, Louise Tenney and many nieces and nephews. His close friends, Bob Bedwell, Patrick Larsen, Keith Dhabolt, Roger Miller and Greg Dilling (who Lloyd referred to as a son.) Lloyd loved riding his Harley and being with his Too Much Fun friends.
