My heart goes out to you at this time and the days ahead. When I heard of Mikes passing I was so sadden, but the time we shared and Mikes contagious smile and kindness brought me comfort as I'm sure that it does for everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. I will love you and miss you always.

My Prayers go out to Mike's Family,Coach Thompson was a very good coach and man.He coached our team the Lakeport Packers to a Great season back in 1980.Godbless the Thompson Family

I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. All my spiritual strength goes out to Mike's family. I went from first grade through High Scool with Mike we were always good friends. Mike, the last time I talked to you was at the Lake County fair we had some great laughs, I am so glad we did. Have a good journey my friend, your POMO BUDDY, LES MILLER. (1966)

I met mike while inspecting trucks at the special district. I saw vette stuff in his office and he had just bought a new 2003 z06. Fawn and I had just bought a 2002 coupe. He invited us to attend a corvette club meeting and the rest is history. He was very passionate for the club and all things corvette. We were very impressed by his commitment to lake county. He was a very special person and a friend to us.

It would take to long to say what all the tings that cross my mind. Mike and I were room mates in our 20's,for 5 years or so before we both moved on to getting married and leading a new life. Mike, Sandi, my wife Judy and me along with a few other close friends remained very close, from going to ball games, Sunday was always a party at one of our houses for football..49er's. We were always together for some reason, both of us coached at Clear Lake high school, played in every adult sports leagues there were. Both Mike and I worked with the county to get the softball fields at the county park. We organized and ran the adult basketball leagues. We had a tight close knit of friends and throughout the years more friends joined in. Mike was not only one of my best friends both more like a brother. One of the nicest, friendly and giving person I have ever met. Mike you'll be missed more than anyone could ever know. I love you Mike and I will see you again. My thoughts and prayers go out to not only the Thompson family, but to all that new him. Ron Jackson

To Mike's family, who became like family to me when i was on my own and far from my own family in my 20's in Lakeport...i am sorry for your loss. It has been so many years my memories of MIke had become faded, but after reading in his obituary I was reminded of his great big bear hugs, and vividly his warmth. My heart is wiIth you Sandi and I will be there soon to share Mike sized bear hugs.

Dearest Steve, Barbara, Sandi, James, Kris, Beth and families- Reading cousin Mike's obituary gave me great comfort in realizing that so many people had special parts in his well-lived life. Our fond memories are his legacy of love. Today he rests in the arms of his Lord, his parents and so many more who have prepared a place for him. Prayers and hugs for all.

My Dad was a great person, and he was so much into sports like I was. I remember just sitting around and laugh and joke around. I will miss him so much, but he is in my heart and soul everyday. I am proud to be his son. I love you Dad.

Years ago I was Mike and Sandis neighbor. Everytime I saw Mike he was just so happy with a big grin on his face. He was a very sweet man.
Sounds like he passed that smile onto many others through his coaching and caring for other people.

As Mike's next door neighbors, we will miss his warm smile, loving gestures, and infectious spirit. But what we will surely miss the most is the competition of seeing who will be the first one to mow both lawns, Mike, or my husband Dave. No worries though, we got it from here on Mike. We miss you.

I will always remember Mike's kindness long after we had graduated from high school together. I bumped into him at the post office one day, and after we chatted a bit, we got on to a discussion about the economy. I told him I didn't have enough money to buy some firewood, even though I was working full time, and a fireplace was the only way I had to heat my house. The next day I came home to a stack of wood he and his son delivered while I was at work. When I tried to thank him, he told me that we were classmates, which made us family, and we were all here to help each other. He was truly a great person, and I shall always remember him and his kindness and generosity.
I'm very sorry I won't be able to attend his Celebration of Life so I could share more stories about him.

I was saddened to here of Mike's passing ! I always admired Mike in the way he always went after what he wanted , despite the disabilities he had to deal with growing up. Mike was a great guy and will be missed.
