Such a delightful generous friend. Robert was a true horticultural artist and has touched so many lives. We had so much fun creating my pond using the wonderful Konocti rocks and boulders.

Robert was the first person I met when I moved to Lake County 11 years ago. He was kind and funny and always had a smile whether you saw him in the neighborhood, at your front door or at the State Park. I am saddened by his passing, he was a wonderful person and friend and I will miss him.

Robert always had a smile for anyone. There wasn't a mean bone in his body.

Robert, you are always my friend. What can I say? Where ever you are or happen to be I will think of you. Your sweet gentleness on this planet has been a pleasure to share.
It would take paragraphs to commemorate you life so I will encapsulate it all into I love you, I enjoyed our friendship and I will never forget the pleasant times and wonderful conversations we had together.
You and Jim were a comical and treasured pair, and a joy to be with. We had many good laughs. Thank you both. Sweet dreams our dear Robert.

ROBERT = THE bundle of Positive Energy -left us in a speed that only his partner Jim would appreciate: a Reunion in Heaven for the most wonderful people there ever were!
Three generations in our family in SFO were always delighted when Robert would be standing in front of our door - unannounced - to just come and have some great times and laughs......always ready for some next fun event and never too tired for any help. We loved him.
In 1992 Robert and Jim came to check-out our new - by then 444 year old tower - on this Mediterranean Island of Malta: all our neighbours here immediately embraced them and are still talking about those wonderful friendly and kind fun-boys from California: very much missed also here!
You were Unique, Robert: we'll never forget you!

When we first moved to the Riviera West, we brought our old dog, Sasha. With the task of moving in, we left Sasha on the balcony alone one night. Robert was having a barbecue and Sasha smelled something delicious! She was able to attend the barbecue down the hill, but because of arthritis, she couldn't possibly walk home. Robert carried her. What did we think of our new neighbor? Incredible kindness! Thank you again, Robert, wherever you are!

On Saturday March 28, Robert and I met at the home of Gerda Kainz. He was at peace with his destiny. He knew that death is the renewal of spirit, the freedom of the soul. Let Gabriel carry him home, where he will be consoled for his shortcommings, but mostly celebrated for his impressive achievements. With love, Rita

I'll always remember Robert as an outstanding Public Relations representative for State Parks. Often the first contact for park visitors, he always had a smile and a confident and friendly voice. His contribution will be missed by park staff and visitors alike.

To the family and friends of Robert Morse: our most heart-felt sympathy and sadness at the loss of this authentic and exceptional man. Robert was the first Riviera West neighbor we met, on the day we put in the offer on our new house, and our connection with him has grown to one of ‘brother and beloved friend’ over the ensuing 15 years. Robert’s compassion, tolerance, respect for all living things and amazing knowledge of everything horticultural made him a magnet for people and creatures of every culture, age, origin and leg-count – all were safe with him. His keen hearing, sharp wit and crisp enunciation could (and so often did) bring a personal, local or global issue crashing down into its most basic, user-hostile components. This wise, spiritual old soul was ever the peacemaker, bridge builder, detail noter and between-the-lines listener but he had the memory of an elephant for those with a nefarious agenda. His amazing spirit will no doubt live long and gratefully in the hearts of the many who loved him, the Lake Countians he so well served, the little live things who crossed his path, the wide world of fellow travelers he encountered and the scattered natural environments he lovingly landscaped into the beauty he saw within. Namaste´, Robert! It was a joy to share your life and to hear your message!

"I have always known that at last I would take this road, but yesterday I did not know that it would be today." (Ariwarano Narihuri, 825-880) Robert, I will always remember your incredible blue eyes. Then, the time a few years ago when we had an orphaned young deer wandering the neighborhood for days. How you came with food to where she had hidden next door and she let you approach her because of your gentleness and kindness. You were truly a good soul.
