Well, Art, what can I say? I finally get the last word, but I truly wish that it wasn't so.
It's no secret that you and I had a bit of a contentious relationship growing up. We had fun as kids, we had fun as adults; it's just those long stretches in-between when we barely spoke. Or fought, literally and figuratively. Passionately. But at some point, we put all that aside and buried the hatchet. I even learned to put up with your endless repetition of those favorite stories that you told. What was the harm? They brought you joy, and in the end, that's what matters in life.
As people, we disagreed on just about everything, from politics to religion to the best Star Trek series. But we always agreed about the love of our family. As a kid, my passion for music was informed by my family (and friends), and if wasn't for you, I don't think I'd treasure the Beach Boys and The Four Seasons nearly so much!
:)
Along with those endless stories, I'll always carry in my heart & soul the vision of you belting out Ronnie or Sherrie at the top of your lungs!
Rest In Peace.
Sail on sailor.
