Brendan T. McCaffery
Brendan T. McCaffery, 58, of Cheshire passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30th, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 29 years to Caitlin Cullinan McCaffery. Brendan was born in Portadown, County Armagh, Ireland on June 18th, 1965, and was the son of the late Francis and Rosena McParland McCaffery. He earned degrees from Liverpool John Moores University and Albertus Magnus College, New Haven. Brendan worked for Camillo's Tuxedo, Circle Media Catholic Publication, and was an Insurance Agent for State Farm Insurance for many years. He was a member of the North Haven Rotary Club, the Irish-American Community Center, East Haven and the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club where he volunteered his time as a youth leader. Proud father of Liam C. McCaffery and Rachel R. McCaffery. Loving brother of Lana, Brian, Eileen, Colin, Rosena, John, Francis, Aaron, Mary-Louise and Carla. Also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by John Lawless, but also survived by Marie Lawless, who welcomed him into their home when he immigrated to the U.S. in 1988.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday, June 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to Precious Blood Parish/St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford on Wednesday, June 5th at 12:00 p.m. to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in St. Mary Cemetery, 315 Buckingham Avenue, Milford. I'm very saddened to hear about Brendan passing away. All though just my insurance agent for 8 years. I worked next door to him and made him many pizza, and have gone into the office to pay many times. One of the most genuine fellas I've ever met. He also had the best Irish accent. You will be missed. My condolences to your entire family and friends. And rock the heavens my friend.

To Brendan's family,
My husband Erik and I are so very sad to learn of his passing and we wish you condolences on your loss.

Brendan was our Statefarm agent for many years. We looked forward to our conversations with him because he was always so very helpful and a delight to converse with. Our children where at the same stages in life so we had that in common and shared many laughs. He didn't just sell us insurance, Brandon took good care of our family!

I hope knowing how many lives he must have touched and how many loved him, will bring comfort to you now and in years to come. We will miss him and keep him well in our memories.

Caitlin, Liam, Rachel and all Brendan´s loved ones, I´m both shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Brendan´s passing. I can´t imagine what you guys are going through. He was such a good man that he was even that rarest of individuals: a beloved company leader and a friend whose friendship long outlives former workplace ties. We´d been saying for years after the Circle Media breakup that we´d get together over a Guinness or two. It´s hitting me like a punch to the chest that I´ll need to take an indefinite rain check on that mini-reunion. Be certain of my prayers for the repose of Brendan´s soul and for God to strengthen and console you in these most difficult days of your lives. Please know how much he meant to so many.

Eternal rest grant unto Brendan, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

All ten of Brendan´s siblings have been here in the New Haven area during the last couple of weeks, supporting him and his family. Brendan is an integral part of our family who will be with all of us until the end of time. He can rest in peace comforted by the certainty that he has always been loved by his brothers and sisters, and always will be. So it is not a goodbye Brendan, but merely a continuation of our strong family bond.

I am so saddened to hear about Brendan's passing. I worked with him at Circle Media and had recently done business with him at State Farm. He was always a gentleman. I enjoyed his friendly banter and his stories. It was always great to talk with him. He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with his family.
