Brett Birdsey Obituary

MERIDEN - Brett W. Birdsey, 48, of Woodland, Court, husband of Linda Birdsey, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at MidState Medical Center after a long term illness.

Born in Meriden on May 30, 1963, he was the son of the late Wade Everett Birdsey and Mary Lucille (Barry) Birdsey .He was a lifelong Meriden resident and attended Francis T. Maloney High School.

Besides his wife, Linda, he is survived by two daughters, Meghan and Casey Birdsey; a sister, Joy Birdsey; two nieces, Jocelyn Frederick and Fallon Smith; and a nephew, Ian Frederick. He was predeceased by a brother, Scott Birdsey.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to his daughters' education fund, The Brett W. Birdsey Memorial Fund, c/o TD Bank North, 733 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450.
